Travis Ivy

Travis Ivy

Senior Graphic and Video Designer with 15+ years of experience turning complex ideas into clear, compelling visual stories. I work well with leadership teams to deliver high-impact video, graphic design, and motion graphics that gets attention.

I’ve been a designer basically my whole life. In high school I was the one they’d pull out of class when the school needed something designed or the class needed a shirt made. Senior year I interned at a newspaper as a graphic artist, and when I graduated, that internship turned into my first job as a professional designer. I won that newspaper a couple awards for layout design.

I didn’t stay long before a dealership group discovered me and brought me onto their marketing team. Print, radio, TV ads, I was doing all of it. That led to a job at a design firm in California, then a sign shop where I designed and installed everything from monument signs to full vehicle wraps. I learned how to make things work in the real world, not just on screen.

Back in Texas, I landed an art director role at a small ad agency. Then 2008 hit and the business folded. I pivoted and spent the next few years designing award programs for corporations like PepsiCo, Frito-Lay, and Grainger. High-volume, high-standard work that sharpened my production instincts.

From there I joined Freeman, designing and programming digital signage for large-scale events. I traveled all over the country setting up and managing displays on-site. That hands-on event experience opened the door to UX work, and eventually a former colleague recruited me to Heritage Auctions as a UX designer.

After that I landed at Flowserve, and that’s where video took over. I went deep, filming executive communications, producing internal messaging, and eventually traveling globally to document and support the CEO and his leadership team. Milan, Venice, Singapore, Amsterdam. I learned how to move through the world with camera gear and come back with stunning footage straight out of the camera.

I took time away from corporate work to build something from scratch helping launch and grow two separate social media channels, one to 60,000 followers and another to 15,000. Different audiences, different content strategies, same core skill: figuring out what resonates and executing on it consistently.

When I was ready to return to my profession, I joined MediaJuice Studios as a video editor and motion graphics artist. That’s where my After Effects skills went to another level. At this point I can build anything I want in After Effects and I mean that literally.
